Greetings CLUGgers. There will be a CLUG meeting at 7:30 pm on this very next Tuesday, 14 November 2006 at the St. Albans Neighbourhood Resource Centre.
http://www.zoomin.co.nz/nz/christchurch/st+albans/colombo+street/1047/ Volker Kuhlmann will be talking about firewalls. Volker: If you wish to expand on that bald statement please feel free so to do. In the past there has been little interest in December or January meetings, anyway insufficient to cover the cost of hiring the hall, so I propose that we skip those months this Summer and restart the monthly program on Tuesday, 13 February 2007. Also please note that you will also need to find another meeting organiser. I have been doing the job for several years now, and not only is it time for a change so somebody else can have a go, but that person needs to have a much larger network of friends who are more active in the use of Linux than my acquaintances. Please enjoy cajoling reluctant speakers. At the moment I'm happy to continue buying the milk / coffee / tea / biscuits, but reserve the right to delegate that to A. N. Other from time to time. I will be having a meal at the Caly at 6:00 pm before the meeting. Anybody who wishes to join me is more than welcome. -- CS
