Greetings CLUGgers.

We need to think about and discuss the desirability of continuing the monthly
meetings. I have found the stress of finding appropriately Linux oriented
subjects and speakers for a schedule of regular monthly meetings more than
merely somewhat draining, in fact it's been a BLOODY DRAG.

So I need some help. Here are the meeting dates, and spaces to fill in.

  Date Speaker Subject
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
13/02/07 | |
13/03/07 | |
10/04/07 | |
15/05/07 | |
12/06/07 | |
10/07/07 | |
14/08/07 | |
11/09/07 | |
09/10/07 | |
13/11/07 | |

I hope we might be able to fill Feb, March and April before Christmas.

We have some money available which we could use to buy 'tokens of
appreciation' for speakers who are not CLUG members. So, if anybody knows of
experts who could be cajoled into giving a talk please, please do so.

I hope that talks will have a higher technical and informational content than
usual marketing 'ra-ra - buy it' type of thing.

In order to encourage possible speakers make themselves available we need to
know what subjects members would like to hear about.

Please post requests to this thread.

Lynda's health is now so much better that she feels able to cook us up some
delicacies for a Chrismas Do next month. If you would like to come to a BYOG
Social Meeting cum fixups session on 12 December 2006 then please indicate
that ASAP. We need at least 20 people to make it worth-while.
