I know this is not what you required of this thread Chris, but it has already been screwed, imo you were being optimistic to expect otherwise. 8-] Is there a polling facility on the antiquated software this list is run on, several other email lists I'm subscribed to - do regular polls? Deleting blank emails goes against my Taoist grain!

Not true in my case! Because I live out of Christchurch getting to a CLUG or GNUz meeting is a rare event but making the effort to attended a M$ spin meister just doesn't begin to rate - the leopard can't change its spots! After years of deliberation I've climbed onto the GNU/Linux roller-coaster, escaping the oppressive commercialisation of M$ was the prime motivation. There isn't a whiff of M$ on our desktop computer, the notebook still has a small Windows partition which is so close to being redundant, it'll soon to be gone for good. I've previously mentioned several respected commentators whose analysis's show the changing face of business coming about via the Internet. To that list I'd add Prof. Lawrence Lessig, a driving force behind the Creative Commons and now on the board of the Free Software Foundation. http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=Lawrence+Lessig [...] Cheers...
