How "free" to be (including which patent litigation to risk, which
binary modules to install), what libraries to support, what options to
compile into programs. But you may have been referring to that all as
part of "what to package".

But yes, i thoroughtly agree with the thrust of your post. There has
been too much distro/desktop trolling lately.
