You're right, Gordon. I was being a bit too cheeky, I guess. And my
post makes sense without the sentence above, anyway.

Freedom is indivisible.  Freedom implies that one is free to be wrong, free to 
be a bloody idiot, free to irritate people. Free to agree, free to disagree.

Free to restrict other's freedom as well? Perhaps freedom is more
complicated then you think. A train is free to go anywhere as long as
it stays on the rails. Liberating the train from the restriction of
the rails doesn't increase its freedom.

The GPL restricts your freedom (Hey! Getting back on topic!) in order
to preserve it.
