I do have to confess that I didn't have to buy my self a beer at the last two clug functions, so I'm not so hard up that I can't find cash for at least part of the modem...

I also now have a big pile of gear for LES servers thanks to a clug member, sitting in my living room, some of which will end up on TradeMe to cover a bit of a months connection...

I know a printing company who has expressed interest in producing some products for sale that the LES students can market as well.... but until we get the modem in place, doing the research in class for the project is a bit hard...

I also know a few people who are happy to fund a pizza that won't be a pizza this year because pizza, coke and young teens don't mix well with concentration... and my headake.

If I knew anyone in Vodafone marketing I guess I could plead a case as well...

I think what I should really do thou is just tell this poor Hornby Riccarton country kids to piss off and go teach some St Andrews kids who's parents I can hit up for gear and money.

Cheers Don

Ouch, I'm going to take that personally.

I've now done 3 years at UCLUG. I was expecting to graduate this year with honors!

I do see your point thou, I should learn to write endless applications for funding before I should be allowed to even consider getting any!

No way should this be enough...

http://www.bowenvale.pointclark.net/les/LESApplicationLetter.pdf

You should also have to fill out this!...

http://www.ccc.govt.nz/Community/Funding/FundingApplicationForm.pdf

Which you will have to print because it's not a word processor document that you can just edit...

Three local students plus two out of town... errr crap, note to self, don't mention those out of town ones... won't be enough to get that level of funding.

You'd be right if you're thinking that I could have just filled it out in the time I took to write a response to Nick, but at least I know I'll get an intelligent answer right away from Nick (even if it is personal abuse).

Cheers Don
