I've spent hours reading that.
That could mean either that it's so good you could not put it down, or that it
is completely opaque, and you have taken hours to decipher the first page.
Which do you mean?
The subject is huge. It also makes many prior understanding
assumptions. I find most Linux web sites assume you're quite famluar
with linux conventions. I'm not. It's a barrier for me and people like
me coming from the Windows world.
I confess, everytime I read it, I find it easier to understand because
my general learning has improved, even if my spelling hasn't.
I have only looked at the first couple of pages so far, but it looked pretty
fair to muddling to me.
When compared to documentation in MS white papers for like systems,
'fair to muddling' is about as far as it goes.
rant paid ms people rant have to expect free people less... blar blar...
I'll save you the trouble of responding with those common comments.
Understanding all this, is the reason why I offered to run a workshop.
Because I understand that it's not simple at all and it is hard to grasp.
I like diagrams showing the frame work of things. Most of these
projects don't include such a thing.
Even something simple like this:
http://www.tcn.bowenvale.co.nz/images/stories/ONCS/datacollectionconcept.jp
That must have a TCP/IP link somewhere which is byte by byte on a snail's
back. ( or is it CLUGdotted :)
Not sure what your point was here. The bowenvale server has been off
line part of today because of a router issue in our Singapore hosting
office. Or are you refering to the fact the pic is big as I took it
with my camera and didn't bother to chop it down my much?
Cheers Don
