Hi, thanks for your interest.

My bike is still going well. Unfortunately the epoxy I used to secure the
freewheel sprocket to the hub failed after a couple of weeks of use.
Fortunately I have a friend who kindly welded it up for me (it will now
outlast the bike).

As for the kit, it's fantastic!! My bike goes at 23km/h max, but the kit
goes to 30km/h (both measurements are *without* pedalling). I actually
sent an update on 13 Jan at 20:24 (probably in the archives) but here it is
again:

However back to the (off) topic of interest. Today I fitted the electric
wheel kit I bought on TradeMe to my wife's bike. I won't give you the
minutiae, just the executive summary:

* It took just over 2 hours
* Some fiddling of a bicycle-mechanicy nature was required, including, but
not limited to: adjustment and modification of supplied parts; supply
and/or fabrication of additional parts; and occasional deviation from
supplied documented procedure
* The resulting bicycle is rather fast, however the collection, analysis,
and breakdown of actual statistics was not possible[1].

I had no trouble with the kit, but YMMV[2].
