Common sizes used are:-
1 sq. mm = single strand (2 core + earth)
1.5 sq. mm = 3 strands (2 core + earth)
2.5 sq. mm = 7 strands (2 core + earth)
4 sq. mm = 7 strands (2 core + earth)
6 sq. mm = 7 strands
10 sq. mm = 7 strands
16 sq. mm = 7 strands
25 sq. mm = 7 strands
