Maybe you've got it round the wrong way. Maybe this refers to each
participant's right to contribute an opinion, from having contributed
their due $0.02 / 2p. (Two pennies' worth / tupnees-worth / tupens-worth
/ tuppence-worth: preceded 'pence', I assume. So how old is that phrase?)
I support Rob et. al.'s pedantry call, incidentally, as without this
crucial character trait there is no way a command-line can be made to
carry out instructions :-)
