I showed out the final line that the system printed where the system hang 
occurred.
I copied menu.lst from /boot/grub on the partition running ubuntu to the 
partition running suse
It booted into suse.

Problem->solution. 

Like I said, if you don't believe me, then try it yourself. Post your findings, 
or give up with this idiotic thread.
