I dunno, for the first 15 or so years I was in the IT industry I was a
paid geek.

I'm on the slippery slope now though, middle management, I've booked my
labotomy for next week!

Curiously enough, I was pondering my 'geekdom' or otherwise the other
night over a whisky with a good friend. I've been in the IT/Tech industry
for 17 years now, I think it's time for a change! Might move into market
gardening or something more hands on. :).

The lines very simple as far as I'm concerned. Geeks don't get paid
for what they do!

Hmmm, must delete my old website...

There's a fine line between being a geek, and being in the IT industry,
a
very thin, sort of fuzzy, line.

Just spent a few minutes chasing some of your email
handles...greengecko, infohelp, etc etc and I'm amazed how many of
you guys are actually in the IT industry and not just backyard geeks
like myself.
