Well, that's just part and parcel of autologin - you have no security
for any of your data at that point.

OS X is no "better" in that regard - all passwords (even from
applications like web browsers) go into the keychain, which is
unlocked automatically at login time. And you can encrypt $HOME with a
single setting controlled in the same way ... but if you set autologin
you shouldn't have bothered.
