Sorry if this is old news, but I just heard today that Ben was taken off
life support a few days ago - not a good sign.
But the good news is that he's hanging in there. But it doesn't sound good.
Perhaps we should all take a minute to reflect on what happened and why (so
far as we know) and think of Ben and hope (pray for those so inclined) for
a recovery - a full one.
Meanwhile, the driver has now been charged with drink driving as well, so I
heard.
My daughter is off to the Jane Young memorial today - did you know that she
was also doing an NCEA level 3 paper this year, and University stage one
paper? What a waste of a good life and an intelligent brain. Hope Ben
doesn't end up the same.

He wasn't. He was in the workforce.
