Hi folks.
I use samba to connect to a win98 virtual machine via samba/vmware. I
have a problem in that samba works fine until I start ppp. This starts
my firewall which immediately drops the samba connection. The firewall
stays active after I shut down ppp thus blocking any new samba
connection. Once I shut the firewall down I can reconnect.
I am using firestarter as a front end to iptables, the default is to
block all incoming and allow all outgoing connections.
I guess I need a rule to allow local? connections to port 135-137 to be
unaffected, but how do i do this?
