Nintendo DS Lite & Linux

Hello,

My wife just got one of these, and for $65 on TradeMe I can get an R4DS 
doodad that will let me run Linux (I think).  Anyone on CLUG tried it?  
Does it work?  Is it worth the effort (if there is any effort)?
