Synergy has been a hit with the IT guys at work, it shares the keyboard and mouse across multiple machines connected by a lan. They can be linux or windows as well - nice to copy text from a window on the windows machine to the linux machine or vice versa. Separate desktops though.
For single desktop I think you have to have two monitors connected to the same machine - my laptop has a desktop screen I attach when at work. Don't think thats what you're after? On 18/07/07, Vik Olliver <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
On Windows I've seen a few people plug their laptop into the LAN and use it as an extension of their desktop screen. What's the equivalent in Linux software? I'm aware of x2x - this allows you to transit between two screens but they are separate desktops. I'd like to see one desktop spread across my PC display and my laptop. I'd settle for different pages on the same desktop; Desktop 1 on the PC, Desktop 2 on the laptop etc. Vik :v)
