Greetings Cluggers,
The next meeting is on the 14 August 2007. That's a week from to-day.
Primarily, it's a social get-together and fix-ups evening, but we
have the added attraction that Mr. David Dunick of HiTech Books in
Shirley is coming with a number of Open Source / Linux oriented books
for us to buy at 10% off retail ( for purchases and orders taken on
the evening only ). Unfortunately he cannot bring his EFTPOS terminal
so you'll have to charge up the wallet beforehand if you want to buy a
book. There is an EFTPOS cash dispenser at the bank in Edgware Road
not far from the meeting venue.
Fix-ups: If you have a problem with your Linux box please declare
your need in a follow-up posting so other members can meditate on the
problem.
This meeting would also be an appropriate time to introduce new members.
Some of us have a meal starting at approximately 6:00 pm at the Caly
which is on the corner of Holly and Caledonian Roads. Whilst not
exactly Haute Cuisine, the food is cheap and cheerful, yet distinctly
edible. Members are more than welcome to join us.
