Thanks, that's simple and has got me going fairly well. It essentially
lets me stamp an arrow on the image. Using layers I can rotate and
change colours, and no doubt I'll be able to figure out resizing in
another few minutes. Much better than where I had got to - basically as
per Caleb's suggestion of shift clicking and doing a series of lines to
make an arrow, with varying and inconsistent results.
Thanks for all the replies.

I think all of your questions should be answered here... untar the arrow
brushes and place in /usr/share/gimp/2.0/brushes.

Hi, I am putting together some articles on a wiki, and including some
screen shots on which I want to draw an arrow to point to a particular
part of the screen. I thought this would be a really simple task but am
yet to find some cool tools to help with this. I can use gimp to draw 3
lines to make an arrow but really my drawing skills still suck badly as
they have all my life.
Does anyone know of a package that has a tool to draw arrows? Or a
method via gimp to draw a proper arrow?
Cheers,
Roger
