Greetings to CLUGgers,
Tempus Fugit, and it's time to remind folks that the next talk is on
the very next Tuesday, namely 11 September 2007.
Brett Davidson will be talking about how to set up Apache 2.
I hope he will expound in a bit more detail about his talk in a
follow-up to this thread.
Start 7:30pm at:-
The St. Albans Neighbourhood Resource Centre,
1047 Colombo Street
St. Albans.

A Light Supper consisting of a cup of tea, or instant coffee, and
biscuits will be served.
Thanks to the generosity of the Centre and its Neighbourhood Network
facilities, we are now able to offer a wide selection of Unix and
Linux distributions as .iso images, CDs and DVDs. There will be a more
detailed announcement about this during the meeting.
Some of us gather at approximately 6:00pm for a pre-meeting meal at
the Caly on the corner of Holly and Caledonian Roads. While the food
is not 'Haute Cuisine', it's both distinctly edible and economical.
All list members are very welcome.
Finally: I have managed to cajole people to speak for the last 3 or
4 years, and feel quite strongly that it's time for somebody else to
organise these meetings. In order for CLUG to flourish, I think we
need somebody who has more contacts within the IT industry than I do.
Please note that I am happy to continue to be be an account signature,
the keyholder for the venue and contact person for the venue
management. There are speakers organised for October 200h7,
tentatively for November 2007, and February 2008.
So we need somebody with contacts outside CLUG, a pretty good
general working knowledge of Unix and Linux, an appreciation of the
FLOSS ethos, and a better organising ability than I, to take over
setting up the meeting schedule.
Volunteers: Please make yourselves known!

Sincerely etc.
