I converted all the rpms to .debs, but them all into a separate directory and did a dpkg -i *
IIRC, I had to force it, as one of the packages conflicted. The end result works fine, but I don't really notice a lot of difference from 2.2 - I do hasten to add that I'm a very light OOo user..
