If you're running Fedora 7 or newer and you have a modern CPU that has
hardware virtualization support, I recommend KVM.  It is enabled in the
default Fedora kernel, and the rest of the bits you need are in the core
repositories.  There are HOWTOs floating about on how to get started, the
short version is that you make sure the 'kvm' kernel module is loaded, then
start the VM up using 'qemu-kvm'.
