I just bought one of these nifty hot swappable esata drive bays: http://icute.com.tw/english/iSwap201.htm
I want to use it for off site backups i.e.: backup to the drive, pop it out to take off site and replace with another drive. Can anyone here confirm I'm right in thinking that I'll need to buy esata drives that are designed for RAID / Enterprise use? >From what I can figure out it looks like RAID drives support hot-swapping with power on where normal internal drives do not. Anyone else on this list hot-swapping drives? I'm running Kubuntu 7.10. Thanks.
