Hi Folks

I am a long time lurker one time poster.

I am interested in a Netgear wgr614 54Mbps 802.11g Wireless Router
due to having enough flybuy points I thought here goes maybe a wee
free-be

I am wondering would you guys recommend this or does this only suit
yesterdays needs. I understand it is meant to be Linux compatible, ie
the listed features will all be available in Linux?
It does come with an install CD no doubt for windoze..

I am running a few desktops and one lappy with Ubuntu 6.06 LTS
my modem is a D-Link 302G

I ask my Question here as it may help others thinking of going wireless

the spec's from Dick smith Electronics page are..

Speeds of 802.11g - up to 5x faster than 802.11b
  * 10⁄100 Mbps on WAN
  * Double Firewall - SPI & NAT
  * Smart Wizard automatically detects ISP settings and walks you
    through installation
  * Compatible with 802.11b devices and 802.11g devices
  * Shares broadband Internet access to every PC in your home
  * Wi-Fi Protected Access Pre-Shared Key (WPA-PSK)
  * Up to 128-bit WEP encryption
  * VPN pass-through support
  * MAC address authentication

Many Many Thanks

Tom
