Make sure the font directories you want are mentioned in the "Files"
section of /etc/X11/xorg.conf . Restart the X-server if you have
altered xorg.conf.

(Re)-Start Konqueror

Settings->Configure Konqueror>Fonts( In Sidebar )

Choose a font and size thereof which is more to your liking.

Note that the MS Vista font called Calibri caused my X-server to crash.
