It will only shrink to the size of the original image that it was built with. Which in a couple of cases has been virtually nothing when I have attempted this. Gparted on the other hand will size the partition to your exact requirements when booted to the livecd, although you may need to run a repair on the NTFS partition after this is done. http://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=gparted
