Well, I'll disagree with that and sidestep the obvious pun (: /etc/issue is 
printed at a tty line - so is of limited use these days - but it is 
historically used to identify the system, and not the os. So it is perfectly 
acceptable to have a company identifier in this file. motd, also only seen from 
the tty line, is intended for public messages.
