I did look carefully at it once, but decided that MythTV with all its
plugins was enough for me. It covers all the media angles and seems to be
better supported, and it just runs on top of any standard distro so you end
up with a versatile home file & media server. (I think LinuxMCE uses MythTv
anyway for its media bits). 

MythTV doesn't go as far with full home automation if that's what you are
interested in.
