Hi, I have managed to get mediawiki installed on our network and making
good use of it. It needs to be backed up of course, and I'm a mysql
newbie. Having found MySQL Administrator as part of getting mediawiki
going, I've been trying to use it's backup tool to schedule the backup.
I can successfully create a manual backup with it, but have a problem
with using the "schedule backup" successfully.
I select the database name on the "backup project" tab, add it to the
backup content list, give the project a name and save the project.
Advanced options is just "normal backup". (should I select any of the
output file options? I have no idea...) Then the Schedule Backup tab -
execute the project daily, set a time, target directory, and file name
prefix - that is all fine.
How do I create an entry in the Connection Name field? There are none
in the drop down list, the text next to it tells me to create one in
Preferences, and I have not been able to find how/where to do this
successfully. Clicking the "schedule backup" button (with "connection
name" blank) prompts for me to "select a profile first". The
terminology isn't consistent enough for my current understanding of the
process.
I'm confused at this point, any pointers in the right direction would be
appreciated!
Cheers,
Roger
