As disk space is cheap, I'd copy the DVD to an iso file on disk and set that up as another installation source. Faster to work with too. > Is there a standard online repository that I can set as a > "installation source" that will just work without having to shag about > with CD/DVDs? For openSUSE yes, for SLES I'm not sure - but SLES comes with support, why don't you ask there? You could also copy the DVD onto a local ftp server of your choice and share it out to the server, you get Internet traffic only for what's actually used from the DVD. If you only need to install a few more things and know what they are, it's not that slow to just scp the packages across and to install them with rpm.
