I used aptoncd recently when setting up a friend's machine, (the same one I got a modem for in the weekend) and it didn't seem to put everything I thought it would on the cd. A standard install needed something like 200 updates once connected to the net, but it only got about 150 from the CD and downloaded the rest. Couldn't be bothered figuring out why, as it was connected to my broadband, not the modem, at the time and it was quick enough.
