Like Derek intimated, things are just not quite working, and don't feel right.
To me, it's like they're trying to run far too fast, and cutting corners. I
want a rock solid foundation to base my servers on, and feel that Ubuntu no
longer provides this.

I have similar problems with drupal - fabulous product, but in a production
environment, version 5 is the best supported, version 6 has had 4 major updates
since release ( April? ) and many core modules are not yet ported, yet most
effort seems to be going into the upcoming version 7, rather than into quality
tested code!

I'm back to debian stable ( a number of my test servers are running lenny as
the softraid support is much improved and I'm having no reliability problems
there ) or Centos 5 after my flirtation with Ubu - just my home server is
running it now.

Must be getting conservative in my old age. Mind you, that's a good trait for a
sys admin to have!

Cheers, Steve
