Hope this helps:

1. once VirtualBox is installed create a Linux virtual machine (in the name
window)
2. in the "Virtual Hard Disk" create a say 4GB VM harddrive (i usually do
dynamic)
3. click finish
4. adjust sound USB options to suit in the general window then:
5. in the "CD/DVD" window tick "mount DVD" and the check the "iso image
file..." radio button & point to your iso file
click ok and it should boot up this iso and then you can install it to the
virtual disk you created in the usual fashion
6. later you can unselect the DVD/iso options and runt the VM directly of
the virtual hard disk
7. if you install VM tools you will get a bit more functionality etc.
