Cheers, Roger
Hi, as a recent convert to gnome I'm still learning the best way (or
where) to set up my desktop. A feature of KDE i enjoyed was the ability
to customise and save or force window sizes and positions on the
screen. This could be accessed by right clicking on the title bar of
any window. Is there an equivalent in gnome? Is there the ability to
have particular windows open in a certain workspace?
Nautilus lacks support for tabs which is a feature of konqueror I make
frequent use of, and while I can still run konqueror it seems much
slower to load on a gnome desktop, so while not wanting to start
anything resembling a file-manager-holy-war am interested in what others
like to use these days for file management. I know it's been asked in
the past however things have moved on since last year/month and new
distros sometimes bring new tools. Some good, some not so good - for
example I didn't like dolphin and dropped it pretty quickly.
