I installed Kubuntu 8.10/KDE4 on a shiny new eeeBox over the holidays and I've been using it now for a couple of weeks. No major dramas, and after several years of Gnome, I have to agree that it is very pretty by comparison.
My only issue has been that I have found it troublesome to connect to corporate network shares. Dolphin has its pluses but browsing networks is not one of them. I found a thing called smb4k which helped. Apart from that, I'd be happy to recommend it. - David On Thu, Jan 8, 2009 at 4:12 PM, Phill Coxon (laptop) <[email protected]>wrote: > > Anyone using KDE4? > > The last couple of times I've tried installing kubuntu with KDE 4 the > result has been a horrible experience.
