I installed Kubuntu 8.10/KDE4 on a shiny new eeeBox over the holidays and
I've been using it now for a couple of weeks. No major dramas, and after
several years of Gnome, I have to agree that it is very pretty by
comparison.

My only issue has been that I have found it troublesome to connect to
corporate network shares. Dolphin has its pluses but browsing networks is
not one of them. I found a thing called smb4k which helped.

Apart from that, I'd be happy to recommend it.
