Hi guys,

I have an issue with a new dovecot, initially I had internal only emails
working fine, When I wanted to send and receive externally as well I configured
TLS support. This broke my emails completely, I get this following error when
trying to start dovecot:

auth process died too early shutting down
socket already exists
error 89
temporary failure in creating auth processes.

the private/auth file is owned by postfix and in the root group, I have tried
changing it to the postfix group and that makes no difference, if I delete it,
it doesn't come back (so I manually create it). There are no other auth
processes described in the dovecot.conf either and this error sounds like
something is already trying to use this file. If I telnet to the server on port
25 it connects but i get a blank screen. I tried creating and using a new auth2
file in the config and it had the same error.

The system is Debian Etch.

Any help would be much appreciated!
