Greetings CLIGgers. Seeing how the need and interest for the monthly meetings seems to evaporated. I have handed back my access key to the St. Albans venue and provisionally cancelled the regular booking for the hall.
If, perchance, A.N. Other et al want to keep the meeting booking, then they should contact the St. Abans venue management before the 5 May 2009 to resurrect the booking. Otherwise it will be given to another group and CLUG will then return to its original form of being solely a mail-list non-existence. There is also the matter of a few ( hundred ? ) dollars in a bank account for which I am the legal entity. I am leaving the country soon, and can therefore no longer hold it. What do we want to do with it? We are not an incorporated society, thus there are no rules we have to worry about if CLUG is to be wound up. Options range from a relatively light-weight alcoholic orgy for members, to giving it to the FSF. Suggestions are actively sought. -- Sincerely etc. Christopher Sawtell
