Lightscribe works just fine under Linux with the only downside being that the software available is fairly basic: http://www.lightscribe.com/downloadSection/linux/index.aspx http://www.lacie.com/products/product.htm?pid=10803 The first let's you add a title and pick from a very limited range of borders for the CD. It doesn't allow you to use your own graphics. The second allows you to load an image and scale it to put on a CD, but it doesn't allow you to add any text. As far as I'm aware these are the only linux compatible lightscribe software packages available. The coloured light scribe discs are useful for categorizing backups / data. Apart from the software being extremely basic, I'm very happy with lightscribe on Linux.
