Hello,

I now have a 64-bit machine. As we are still in transition between 32 and 64 bit machines, it can be a bit of a nuisance. I haven't figured out how to run closed-source programs that were built for 32-bit Linux (or ZSNES, for that matter). How do I *easily* install, on Debian, the 32-bin libraries that a
32-bit executable needs?

Thanks,
Aidan
I may only partially understand your issue and others might add more, perhaps what you are looking for is

sudo apt-get install ia32-libs

or

Then, or anyway, something like "apt-get install package-name" is all you need and you let your package manager take care of dependencies for you? Having said that though, last time I installed skype (as an example of what you are referring to in your question) there was an extra hoop or 2 to jump through, easily found in google, this skype how-to on the ubuntu forums suggests a few more 32 bit packages that may be of interest to you.

Do you have a specific program you are struggling with?
