Messages that are intended to go to "everyone on the list" are send to "listn...@..."; Messages that are for sign-up go to "listname-subscr...@...". Many people on a list who want to get off just post "UNSUBSCRIBE" to the general list; mailman will optionally try to find these mistakes and autofix them ... (i.e. don't send them on to the list subscribers, and unsub the user as per their intended request). -jim
