Hello CLUG,
I'll be moving to Chch from Greymouth around early September, and would
like to meet fellow LINUX folk.
Will visit Chch from 1 to 4 August in the mean time. Anyone up for some
pizza and coke around then?
It seems from the CLUG website Meetings page that there have been =no=
face to face meets since 2008. True? (Maybe I should find and read the
Archives to prove/disprove this?)
In the past I've been a member of PLUG (Perth (West Australia) LINUX
User Group), LUV (LINUX Users of Victoria (Australia)), and WellyLUG (up
in Wellington).
Also started a couple of small micro-computer clubs, before the days of
LINUX.
Shook Linus's hand once, about 13 years ago.
If any of you are running or starting an IT-related business, I may be
of good value to you. My expertise is more commerce than IT. Glad to
volunteer my skills in that way.
By the way...

Comes up with a brief script/program, instead of anything resembling a
web page.
(This email is coming off an old "bitzer" box running Fedora Core 5,
where I do almost everything. I've also got an Ubuntu 8.04.1 system
that is rarely used, and will soon put Ubuntu 10.04.1 on to it and port
all my data over.)
Cheers,
Carl Turney
