Sorry for replying to my own posting... But I've got 2.5.5 running on a
test box and I must say that I'm very impressed. Even though this is
presented as "beta" code, once you "work around" a few modules tha won't
compile... it works beautifully.
It's got more drivers than the 2.4.x tree, the best of which is the ALSA
project.
