Mandrake will have 8.2 out probably by the end of the month. Not sure which kernel but it will be newer than 2.4.8. Kernels 2.4.17 & .18 both correct the sound problem on my machine but neither one corrects the usb problem. I got a serial mouse so that solves the usb problem.
