YMMV.  Most, but not all.  I've never found Sylpheed to have any of the
characteristics you cited.  It's non-bloated, stable, pretty much
intuitive, and, of course, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  Pine
works and it works well, but few would describe it as a thing of beauty.
