I'm trying to run red carpet on a SuSe7.2 box. In order to be able to install, you need to run as root. There's a bug in red carpet that prevents a user from running red carpet as root from the menus on a SuSE 7.2 box. The workaround is to open a terminal window, su, then run red carpet from the command line. I tried that and got the following error message:
Xlib: Connectioin to ":0.0" refused by server Xlib: client is not authorized to connect to server Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: :0 Has anyone else seen this problem? If so, can you let me know how to fix it? Thanks.
