I posted this before, but didn't get any easy answers, so I'll try posting it again. The need is again here since the wife is migrating a bit to linux and I want to supply her a browser that works. I would rather have her logging onto the server than configuring her linux box from stratch.
Netscape 6.2 works tolerably well when run directly on my server (not on the firewall machine, but on a server behind the firewall). However, when logged into the server, running a remote X session with X -query Server from her linux client on the home network, netscape crashes a lot. It crashes consistently on some sites, making it almost unusable. Opera exhibits the same behavior. One possibility is a javascript bug. However, I have no idea where to look. There must be a solution, somewhere. But, I can't even figure out how to turn off javascript in Netscape 6.2. Any insight appreciated, Joel _______________________________________________ Linux-users mailing list - http://linux-sxs.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-users Subscribe/Unsubscribe info, Archives, and Digests are located at the above URL.
