I'm beginning to think it's a glibc problem...I'm not sure why, just a gut feeling at this point. I've gotten several error references to /lib/libc.so.6 which is a symlink to libc-2.2.4.so I don't know. Perhaps I'll back out the updated glibc rpm, return to the stock glibc, and see what happens... Thanks, Tim
