Rick, Did do the fdisk /mbr bit. However cannot check partitions as the HD is now a lump of wood. If I plug it into MY computer I lose anything on that bus its connected to, i.e plug it as secondary to master or secondary and lose that bus entirely. Looks as if it has a short. -- Keith Antoine (GANDALF) aka 'skippy' 18 Arkana St, The Gap, Queensland 4061 Australia PH:61733002161 Retired Geriatric, Sometime Electronics Engineer, Knowall, Brain in storage _______________________________________________ Linux-users mailing list - http://linux-sxs.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-users Subscribe/Unsubscribe info, Archives, and Digests are located at the above URL.
