All in all, linux (or xxxBSD for that matter) is about as user-friendly as the windows registry. Almost no distro completely documents the under-the-covers stuff which they presume that everyone already knows, or they presume that is somebody else's responsibility. That's been my gripe from day one with linux. I'm still waiting for the distro that does a thorough job documenting most of the components that need modifications. Granted, you can usually find a user forum to provide the answers, unlike windows where most of the answers are intentionally omitted. -- Collins Richey - Denver Area - WWTLRD? gentoo(since 01/01/01) 2.4.18+(ext3) xfce-sylpheed-mozilla temporary Slackware 8.1 system _______________________________________________ Linux-users mailing list - http://linux-sxs.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-users Subscribe/Unsubscribe info, Archives, and Digests are located at the above URL.
