Bandel David No insult <grin> Jerry sent a post to put a xserverrc file in x11/xinit. There was not one there originally. I put it in and now can startx and xfce starts real nice now at 0.0. I did also replace the libxie.a file with a different one and that seemed to help also. Could have Caldera screwed the poch here on some of these files? I do not know. Just wondering out load. Many thanks for the help. cheers Happy 4th of July to all Americans & to all others Peace Freedom & health to all.
